Do the young people actually live at Mercy Home?
Yes – for the 134 young people in the residential programs Mercy Home is their home, 24/7/365. But we also care for kids through non-residential programs, such as AfterCare and the Friends First mentoring program. The 225 former residents served by Mercy Home’s AfterCare program last year either went on to live at home with their own families or to independent adult living. And, 91 young people who received mentorship through Mercy Home’s Friends First mentoring program last year lived at home with their own families.
