A. WiLife cameras will not function on battery power. The WiLife Cameras are designed to be powered by the AC power line and send their digitized, compressed video signals back to the PC via the same AC power line. Other so-called “Wireless cameras” still need a source of AC power to operate, and a very complex setup in a network environment. The WiLife system was designed with ease of setup and ease of operation in mind.
