Do the vending machines use the token or the card?
The vending, laundry and copier equipment all have dual technology readers that can either read the magnetic stripe on the card or the contactless token on the mobile phone. We are utilizing dual technology readers manufactured by Debitek, which is company that is part of the Heartland Payment Systems Micro-Payments Division. Readers can either read the magnetic stripe on the card or the token on the phone. We believe this is the first use of these dual technology readers in the United States.
