Do the UH Nurse Practitioner (NP) students receive HIPAA and universal precautions training?
Yes, prior to entering clinical placements, UH NP students receive both HIPAA and universal precautions training. • What should the UH NP students wear in clinical setting? Students are required to dress in a professional manner for clinical preceptorships. These include a white lab coat, UH student ID badge and clean and appropriate professional attire (no mid drifts, open toed shoes, facial jewelry (except earrings)). If a student arrives at the clinical setting dressed inappropriately, please send the student back and contact the UH clinical faculty. • Should students be allowed to see clients independently?
