Do the two unused poles on each toggle switch just get left open?

In the construction manual there are two wiring schematics. The first one is with a dual mag ignition switch with RH and LH mag on the switch. The second one is just a normal ignition switch, which you have to wire the RH and LH mags to the two supplied toggle switches and are not wired to the ignition switch.
