Do the training plans start assuming a certain level of fitness?
All training plans start assuming you are coming off a 1-3 week complete break from training. There is a two week Preparation Phase of training in each training plan. This phase is “training to get ready to train” and will prepare your body and its tissues (especially joint structures) for the rigors of the training plan. If you have active prior to purchasing the training plan then have the start date of your training plan be the first day of the third week (first day of the Base 1 period of training.
