All the major chains such as Super-U, L’Eclerc and Carrefour generally open 0900-1300 on Sundays. Shops in tourist resorts like La Tranche-sur-Mer and Jard-sur-Mer are definitely open on Sunday mornings in the holiday season but often remain closed on alternate Sundays out-of-season, leaving only one out of a pair of shops to provide ‘Sunday service’.
