Most of the stores deal in pesos. The best way to get pesos is in the airport at a money exchange booth or ATM machine. Sayulita does not have an ATM- the nearest one is in Bucerias. Sayulita now has money exchange locations; however, the rate is much lower than at an ATM or bank. Some establishments will exchange USD but the rate will not be ideal. You cannot exchange Canadian Dollars in Sayulita.
