Do the stars from Northern and southern hemisphere differ?
Yes and no. You can see some stars in South Africa that are too far south to be visible in India. In India, they can see some stars (such as Polaris) which are too far north to be seen in South Africa. A large number of stars are visible from both locations, including the Belt of Orion, which is probably what you mean by “3 stars in a line.” It is right on the celestial equator, so is visible from virtually anywhere on Earth, except right at the poles.
