Do the songs in my Windows Media Player, change to .WMA automatically if they are MP3?
Since the Window’s Media Player already has native support for the .MP3 files, it has no reason to perform any conversion on the media — if that’s what you’re asking. I wasn’t clear by the question if that was the primary issue and were stalled there, or had managed to convert the files and still couldn’t make it work. Assuming the problem is still that you can’t get the .MP3 files converted to .WMA, I’d suggest using the free online media conversion at http://www.zamzar.com where you can upload your .MP3 files, select the format you’d like to see them converted to (in your case .WMA) and then provide an email address. In a short period of time, usually less then an hour, you’ll get a link via email that will allow you to download the converted file. The service is still in Beta, but works pretty well. Hopefully that’ll get you past your problem. Good luck!
