Do the slim fast or weight watchers shakes work to kick start weight loss?

I did the Slim Fast diet. I cut out all munchies and soda. I drank two slim fast a day and TONS of veggies and fruit. I tried to eat smaller portions when I did eat dinner. The only thing about Slim Fast is it may give you diarrhea. I had it for a few days but I stuck with it because it was my chocolate fix. I lost about 40 pounds. Whenever I start gaining weight I go back on it for a few weeks and take it back off.

Hmmm… Well, the first two weeks are actually the hardest, because your body is still getting used to all of the activity. After that, though, your metabolism goes into overdrive. You may very well be able to drop five pounds a week, but not right away. Give it some time. ^^ And btw, I wouldn’t recommend Slim Fast shakes. I tried those, and they get really disgusting after a while, and like the person above me said, they don’t fill you up. I don’t know if the same goes for Weight Watchers shakes. I’ve heard they’re good, but they’re really not my thing. In my opinion, stay away from the shakes altogether and stick to real food. The water, fruit, and veggies are a good start, but make sure that you get protein, too. Lean meat is the best in this instance, because it fills you up with fewer calories. And some carbs are necessary, both for mental satisfaction and the energy they provide. Also, once you really get into the routine of regular exercise, you should step up the intensity. You
