Writing from Canada…shop assistants wear what ever jewelry they want…so much jewelry today is just gold plated or silver plated, so it is hard to tell by just looking if it is solid gold or silver. Generally people wear jewellry for decoration and because they like the jewellery….some people wear it for status symbol…they want people to think that they are richer than they are….some wear gold or silver for the positive influences of the metal on their bodies and karma, and some wear it as an investment. Gold and silver jewellery is readily available iin our country.
