Do the Rules extend to telemarketers from outside of Canada?
Yes. The Rules apply irrespective of where the call originates. Telemarketers operating outside of Canada should comply with the National Do Not Call List. In practice, if a telemarketer from outside of Canada is found to have violated the Rules, the CRTC will pursue the Canadian company linked to that telemarketer.
