Do the religious sects have good reason to hate the internet.?

I doubt that any religious sect would hate the internet for the simple reason that most (a large percentage) of the membership within these sects were born to parents that were members of that particular sect. That is to say that most Catholics had Catholic parents, most Protestants had Protestant parents, most Muslims had Muslim parents, most Mormons had Mormon parents, etc. The basic personality (value setting) forming years are, generally speaking, from ages 5 through 10 years of age. Again generally speaking most people are not highly influenced by what they read, or for that matter what they see on TV or the INTERNET. I really believe that we are influenced more by those around us in the work place and in our social life than any of the outputs from mass media sources.
