Do the Onyx mixers have instrument inputs?
Yes. The first two channels on each Onyx mixer are selectable between Mic and instrument inputs. The instrument input is an unbalanced high impedance (Hi-Z) input that works quite well for guitars. This means you won’t need a direct box to connect your guitar to the mixer for recording or practice. Pretty cool, huh? However, you WILL need a direct box for long cable runs in a live situation as this is an unbalanced connection and you could risk getting extra noise in your system. Also note: you can plug other line level devices into these inputs if needed.
