At 11 weeks 1 day LMP I had a private scan that dated me at 11 weeks 3 days. At 11 weeks 3 days LMP, I had an NHS scan that dated me back a day to 11 weeks 2 days. When I asked, i was told that the baby could have been more ‘curled’ at the NHS scan, making it appear smaller, and that different sonographers have different machinery and different methods of taking the measurments. And the fact that they are dealing with millimeters allows around a 2 weeks margin of error. Also that different clinics use different CRL charts. I haven’t heard of the NHS back dating a week, but the above is the answer I was given when in a similar scenario. As you are only 6/7 weeks, you will get a proper dating scan between 11-14 weeks to confirm your due date 🙂 EDIT Just to agree with the answer below me, my midwife is going with the incorrect due date of the 8th, not the 6th.
