I am a firm believer in Bare Minerals but when I have been out of a product I have used the Almay mineral make up in a pinch. I do not think that it is as good as Bare Minerals and there is no product as good as Mineral Veil. I have read that some women have been unhappy with mineral make up and I have to say in it’s defense that I have never met anyone who was unhappy with Bare Escentuals once they have gotten the hang of using it and as you know it takes a little practice to get good at putting it on. I have red hair and very pale skin with lots (and I mean LOTS) of freckles. By using small amounts with the concealer brush over the darkest freckles followed by 2 light layers of the foundation rather than trying to get all the coverage in 1 heavy layer, I come out with a very natural but effective coverage. The first time I wore Bare Minerals to work, a Mary Kay lady asked me if I was in love because I had a glow about me. I was sold on it.
