Do the major British cities still have intact and functioning air-raid sirens?
Yes – there’s one on a mast at my local fuzz house. Have not hear one since the 1960s when they were tested. There’s also a painted sign [large] not far from me of WW2 origin which reads ‘ Shelter for 2000 people’ with an arrow pointing in it’s direction. Not sure if the ‘shelter’ is still there.
