Some of the larger world wide jewelry stores in the Islands, and those which offer custom design work do not haggle over prices. The price on the tag is the price you will purchase it for. You can offer lower, but don’t be offended if the salesperson politely shakes their head. They basically have cut out the haggling element which most Americans are uncomfortable with, price it at their lowest price and call it a day. Other jewelers in the islands will put a price on the tag anticipating that they will be haggled down. Don’t be intimidated by this. This is their culture and traditional way of doing business.
