Although there is a stipend provided by the VA (the stipend is divided into equal payments which are paid every other Friday over the course of the internship (Sept. – Aug.), some interns choose to work on the weekends to provide a little extra cash. There are plenty of restaurants, retail stores, and jobs that are available.
