Do the goods or services need to be sourced from the US? Is DFI able to support product manufacturers outside the U.S.?
Answer – DFI support is unique in that the goods or services may be sourced from either the U.S. or can be supplied by manufacturers in a wide range of countries as DFI works with commercial banks and export credit agencies from around the world. While DFI may be able to find financing for limited local inputs to a deal, the trade finance solutions would not likely be competitive for transactions with the majority of inputs sourced from local in-country manufacturers.
