Do the curriculum maps provide guidance for differentiated instruction?
Currently, the maps do not provide specific guidance for differentiated instruction, though the units do provide a wide range of suggested texts, including titles appropriate for struggling and advanced students. It is our hope that further guidance on differentiation, for example, for English language learners and students with special needs will be developed as the maps are piloted and customized in ongoing professional development with teachers.
