Do the Compact Prime CP.2 lenses use the same optics as the ZEISS SLR lenses?
The new CP.2 lenses are derived from the same family of lenses. What separates the two series of lenses is a new style barrel, that offers the same dimensions across the standard focal lengths, standard positioning for the follow-focus and aperture gearing and consistent 300 degree focus rotation. Combined with an internal focus design and calibrated focus scales, these features meet the needs of professional cameramen and focus pullers.
