Children of all ages take part in visits in school time to places of interest connected with the work they are doing in the classroom. These visits are of great educational value. For incidental visits around the neighbourhood, and into town, covering consent forms are signed by parents when the child joins the school. For major outings parents are given notification, and permission in writing is required before the child can be included in the group going out. Parents are always asked to make a voluntary payment to cover the cost of travel and entrance fees which are always subsidised by the School Fund and kept as low as possible. The Governing Body is grateful that parents fully support these visits by covering the costs through voluntary payments therefore enabling them to take place.
