Do the Brazilians and the Portugese spak the same language??

They both speak Portuguese, but the differences between colloquial Brazilian Portuguese and Continental Portuguese (the variety spoken in Portugal) are actually greater than the differences between the Spanish of Spain and that of Latin American countries. To give one example, TV shows from Portugal are often dubbed or subtitled when shown in Brazil! In Brazil, the formal written language taught in schools in pretty similar to Continental Portuguese, but anyone who’s spent time in Brazil knows that most people don’t speak like that at all, and the everyday language is pretty different. Highly educated speakers from Brazil and Portugal probably have no problem understanding each other, but if you just plucked someone off the street in Bahia and someone else from Lisbon, they might have a hard time understanding each other.
