Do the batting cages come with frames?
Most of the batting cages that we supply are for the batting cage nets themselves, and people will normally build an external frame. A conventional frame construction features vertical steel poles (about 2-3/8″ diameter) and horizontal cross members (1-3/8″ steel tubing), built into upside-down “U” shapes. Basically, fencing supplies. These “U” structures are placed about 10′-15′ apart, and then the netting is hoisted up into the frame corners using something like sections of rope. This is a pretty ‘conventional’ way to install a cage. The prices for these items will depend on your local market. There is a more refined approach known as the cable suspension method. You can simply install 3 cables between sets of poles (about 4″ poles), and then clip the netting to the suspended cables.
