Do the batteries last longer using LEDs?

0

• Yes. The batteries last considerably longer using LED’s for light. A battery powering one white LED compared to powering one incandescent, filament type bulb can last from 10 to 100 times longer. However when multiple LED’s are clustered on a circuit, the battery life depends on the number of LED’s being powered. Battery quality and mode of operation are also two important factors that determine battery life on all StarShot LED lights. Typically an LED light with 20 LED’s, powered by 3-AAA batteries will have a battery life of approximately 7 hours. One single LED powered by 3-AAA batteries will have a battery life 20 times longer or approximately 140 hours. Copyright 2006 StarShot Ltd.
