Do the American scam religions exploit with impunity the freedom of religion laws in various countries?
All religions are scam religions. There are pastors with summer homes and motor boats, just as surely as the Vatican invested believers’ donations in its own private enterprises, and L. Ron Hubbard had a yacht filled with drugs and underage boys in bondage outfits. I’ve said a lot in your last couple of questions about protecting the rights of people to be stupid enough to give their money to the religious scam of their choice. But if you’re going to argue that it’s wrong when one religion does it, then I fail to see why you wouldn’t call for the outlawing of collecting donations by all religions. I don’t personally support such a measure, but at least it would be consistent.
