Do the adapters support load balancing?
Yes. The adapters are called via Engines (through instances of in-memory code called at runtime) that can be deployed across several CPUs. This allows vertical scaling – the ability to spawn multiple adapter instances on a multi-CPU SMP server. Pervasive will support WSDL bindings to JMS in the next release. This will allow multiple, physically separate servers to listen to a single JMS queue, thus providing the ability to do horizontal load balancing.
