Do Thai staff get holidays?

0

Most Thais work 6 days a week in unskilled work and 5 days in skilled work similar to the rest of the world. They are usually entitled to 2 weeks off but not in the busy periods such as Songkran and Christmas. However, Thailand does have more public holidays than any other country so they will expect more days off or days in lieu. It is not uncommon that they will also need to go home for a few days at random times throughout the year when relatives or spouses fall ill or pass away. They will think nothing of inventing a tragedy to secure time off so be aware.
