Do term limits apply to all officeholders?

0

No. The Supreme Court ruled that term limits don’t apply to school board members or court clerks, who are protected by either the state Constitution or state statute. Members of the judiciary, including judges, the district attorney general and the public defender, also aren’t affected. Please send your questions about Knox County’s term limits ruling and reaction to news@knews.com.
