Generally speaking, the AT&T Call Home card works all over the world. The face number of minutes on the card, when used outside the United States, will probably NOT be the actual number of minutes available for use with the card. That number may vary from two-thirds of the face time to one-third–and perhaps less, although so far we have not found less to be the case. The location from which the soldier calls will determine the time available on the card, as does the time of day of the call, the prime carrier (e.g. it may not be AT&T itself, but a contract partner of AT&T), connection fees, and the like. In most cases, your soldier will know from experience the approximate “minute value” of the calling card where he or she is deployed.
