Do Teams Travel out of the Region for Tournaments?
Yes, teams travel out of the Puget Sound Region to tournaments. All teams will travel to Spokane for a USA Volleyball National Qualifier (PNQ). PNQ is a 3 day tournament. Players will possibly have to miss a day of school to attend this tournament. The 2009 date for U14, U15 & U16 is March 20-22 (with teams arriving in Spokane on Thursday March 19). The 2009 date for U17 & U18 is March 27-29 (with teams arriving in Spokane on Thursday March 26). Please note that for the Spokane Qualifier players will need to provide their own transportation to Spokane. The hotel rooms for the players are included in the dues. U17 will travel to an Invitational tournament in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Invitational tournament is over President’s Day Weekend, February 13 to 16, 2009. The team will depart on the morning of Friday February 13, 2009. Team members will travel together on the same flight to and from Las Vegas.
