All teachers, tutors and trainers have the same CPD obligation which they are obliged to share with their employer. Teachers, tutors and trainers that choose not to register with the IfL because of GTC membership will have to maintain their independent record without access to the IfLs online services. If teachers, tutors and trainers are already a member of the GTC, they should contact the IfL to let them know. They do not need to register with the IfL, but they must let the IfL know by 31 August each year that they still hold membership with the GTC.
