A22. First, please note the answer to the question immediately above: DoDEA will not disqualify an LEA’s application if it has gone over the 25 percent limit in good faith. Rather, if a proposal goes over the limit, DoDEA will work with the LEA to realign the proposed budget. The intent of the funding is to improve student achievement. Budgets, including equipment costs, will be judged on a case-by-case basis. DoDEA intends to issue a concrete definition for equipment in conjunction with the full application process.
