Yes, there is some pain involved with getting a tattoo or piercing. In reality tattoos are more irritating and annoying than painful. The level of pain varies from person to person, but most people don’t find it unbearable. The best thing to do is just accept the discomfort and relax. Fighting or tensing will only increase your discomfort. Each person has a different pain tolerance, so don’t go with what your buddy says because he may have been an asshole to the artist, LOL, or may have been tattooed or pierced somewhere besides here, or by an amateur.
