Do surfaces coated with Diamond Seal require special cleaning for commercial applications?
Yes. We provide a set of cleaning instructions explaining the care required. The proper care is easy, but does require a bit of education for professional window washers. The benefits for your clients, however, are significant. Your clients will reap the long term benefits of not having to replace windows damaged due to corrosion from acid washing. Exterior windows are frequently subjected to acid cleanings by window washers. The acid corrodes the aluminum mullion which then streaks the glass. Additionally, the acid and dirt run down the side of the building streaking and ruining stucco, brick and other exterior finishes. Since acid is no longer needed to wash the windows, your clients will be doing their part to protect the environment as well as their landscaping investment. Shrubs, trees and flowers are often seriously harmed or killed by the acid used to clean the windows. Professional window washers must be instructed not to use acid, as it will strip Diamond Seal off the surface
