Supreme Legends has determined that bushings are a far better application on forward controls than bearings. Additionally, Harley-Davidson uses bushings in their stock controls. Supreme Legends uses a special oil saturated bushing that is guaranteed to last for the life of the forward controls. Bearings are best used in an application where the component rotates in excess of 180 degrees. The application in a forward control rotates less than 10 degrees. Thus, the surface area friction with bushings is distributed over a greater area, causing less stress on the applied area.
