Do supermarket in-store bakeries make Real Bread?

0

With current legislation not requiring ingredients to be listed on food that is prepared at the point of sale (eg in-store bakeries), its hard to say. In June 2009, the Real Bread Campaign began contacting the major chains to find out how many stores bake from scratch (the use of frozen dough and part-baked loaves is not out of the question) and what goes into the manufacture of their breads. We continue to follow up the initial letters by post, email and phone. Sign up to Breadcrumbs, our email newsletter for updates.
