Do stun guns really put out the voltages they claim?
Nobody can actually answer this question. Stun gun manufacturers claim to produce stun guns capable of producing millions of volts of energy but measurements of these high voltages is difficult. The use of an Oscilloscope is the common method of measuring these high voltage devices, but equipment limitations generally prevent standard Oscilloscopes from accurately measuring voltages in the millions. In reality, voltage outputs are generally estimated using mathematical calculations as well as arc measurements.
