Do students with disabilities have to take their tests in the Center on Disability?

No, a student with a disability does not have to take his or her test in the Center on Disability. If a student gives you Accommodation Forms and one of his/her accommodations is extended time testing and/or distraction reduced setting, the student needs to arrange for this accommodation when tests are announced. Some teachers are able to offer the accommodation in their own classroom setting. The Center on Disability does have testing facilities where students can arrange to take their exams. If a student plans to take a test in the Center on Disability, he or she will need to provide the teacher with a Test Administration Form as soon as he/she knows a test will be happening. The student returns this form to the Center on Disability and schedules to take the test at the same time as the class or as close as possible to when the class is scheduled to take the exam. The Center on Disability asks that tests be delivered 2 days prior to the test date especially when the student may need
