Do students who commute from home miss out on life at U of T?
Students who live far from their campus can face barriers to taking part in extracurricular activities—it’s hard to attend evening meetings, rehearsals and practices when you’re always running to catch the last bus home! But it’s possible for commuters to get involved and have satisfying extracurricular experiences, as long as they manage their time wisely and choose the activities that best fit their schedules. Some colleges and faculties even have organizations and space dedicated to commuter students, to help them meet each other and get more involved in student life. Students should enquire at their colleges, faculties and student unions to find out whether they organize activities for commuter students.
