Do students receive credit for their internship?
Some departments allow academic credit for approved internships. Other departments do not offer credit for work experience. Students working in unpaid internships are required to register for credit during the period they are working, in order to be covered for worker’s compensation. Therefore, unpaid internships are only possible for students whose department allows internship credit. Students in volunteer internships must limit their work dates to the semester period. All students in paid internships receive an internship notation on their transcript.
