Do students need to read from the classical reading list for all book reports?

I encourage students to read from the classical list for all of the book reports so that they are at an appropriate level and meet grade level expectations. Parents should be reading with children, coaching, asking questions for comprehension, and talking about the story. You may find it helpful to read the story aloud to your child first, and then read along together. Please have your child read the book more than once! This is how fluency is developed. There are great books on the classical list, and I know your child will enjoy them.
