Do students need to have an e-mail account? Can a parent/guardian just check it for them?
All applicants must have an e-mail account that they check regularly for information and correspondence pertaining to the JA Fellows. This is not the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian – this is the responsibilit of the student. If you can access MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter, you have the ability to check your e-mail!!! Most school media centers or public libaries should offer you the ability to briefly check your e-mail, even if you have limited internet connectivity at your residence. Be sure to change your SPAM (Junk e-mail) settings to allow messages from e-mail addreses ending in @georgia.ja.org. E-mail is one of our primary methods of communication, and it is vital that you are able to communicate with us electronically.
