Practicum students are required to audio or video tape at least two client sessions. These are then used in supervision at the University. Site supervisors are also encouraged to make use of these tapes. While interns are not required to tape sessions, they are also strongly encouraged to do so if the opportunity arises. It is felt that taping can improve a students opportunity to improve various aspects of counseling. Evaluation of the students performance Approximately halfway through the semester, the student will schedule an appointment to review the goal statement with you. This mid-term evaluation is an important tool for corrective feedback and making adjustments to the goal statement. Near the end of the semester you will be asked for a final end-of-the-term evaluation of the students work.
