Do students have to take an admissions exam? Are there placement exams for courses once a student is accepted?

• We do not require an admissions exam specific to Georgia Tech. They are required to take the SAT (and the ACT, if they wish). We offer placement exams for many of our core courses that entering students may take to place out of a specific course. Specifically to Computing, we offer placement tests for our first 2 introductory Computer Science courses at no charge or penalty to the students.
