Do students have the opportunity to study abroad?
Yes. Ohio State sends hundreds of students abroad each year, and currently students can select from three study abroad options. The largest and most popular of these comprises more than 40 study abroad programs that last for 10 weeks during the academic year and six to eight weeks during the summer. These programs offer students 10 to 15 hours of academic credit. The second option is for students to take a four- to six-week study tour and earn from three to six hours of academic credit. The remaining option is the foreign exchange program through which an Ohio State student trades places with a student from another country. Ohio State strongly encourages students to pursue these opportunities as a way to broaden their horizons and improve their marketability upon graduation. Ohio State offers study abroad opportunities in England, France, Spain, Germany, Israel, Sweden, China, Brazil, Russia, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, and several other countries.
