Do students find internships on their own, or will someone help them locate and arrange an internship?
It is primarily up to each student to find, apply for, and be accepted for an internship. Students can contact organizations that have previously hired Technical Communication interns, contact organizations that meet their professional goals, answer posted advertisements for interns or other open positions. They may also speak with the Shepherd University Career Center about internship opportunities. Students are expected to do most of the leg work to find and apply for internships that interest them, but the minor coordinator is available to consult with students as they undertake this process.
