Do student athletes have to ride the bus back to TJ from away meets?
Long story short – and a generalization to some extent: If a team rides a bus to an event, then student-athletes may leave with a parent, or may leave with another parent if a note is sent to allow that. Student-athletes may not drive home. If a team has made all the appropriate arrangements to drive to an event, then student-athletes are to leave with a parent or ride home with the same, approved carpool that got them there. Note that when buses are not provided, student athletes may travel in pre-arranged carpools or may be allowed to drive themselves.
